Mission: Our mission is to help survivors of cults and coercive relationships to live meaningful lives by providing resources and support.
Strength in community, resources in reach.
The Lalich Center is committed to assisting survivors of cults, coercion, high-demand groups, the Troubled Teen industry, and friends, families, and professionals through providing learning resources, workshops, courses, and discussion groups. We’re led by Dr. Janja Lalich, an international authority on cults, extremism and coercion.

Mission: The Freedom Train Project is to help survivors of coercion to recreate their lives with our signature “Destinations” program, designed to assist in planning an escape, to the process of leaving, and on to the journey to healing.
We utilize unique partnerships with victim advocacy agencies, law firms, law enforcement, therapy with qualified therapists, cult education, basic needs supplies, and community resources for housing and employment. The services provided are highly targeted to the needs of these survivors during their different phases of recovery.
Founders: The Freedom Train Foundation was founded by the organization’s Executive Director, Tabby Chapman, who holds a master’s degree in psychology and is a Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. Tabby is also a former member of the group called NXIVM. The organization was also co-founded by Dr. Amber D. Gray, DBH.

NJ Safe & Sound is a volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 2012 to:
Educate the public about predatory alienation and extreme undue influence.
Encourage NJ lawmakers to offer legal recourse to those harmed by such psychological and emotional abuse, regardless of age.
Predatory Alienation is purposefully disrupting an existing relationship, often through the use of deception, in order to isolate an individual — who is not being abused or otherwise in danger — from the people that he or she trusts, for the purpose of exploiting, controlling, or taking advantage of that individual.
Undue Influence is the use of one’s role and power to exploit the trust, dependency, and fear of another in order to deceptively gain control over that person’s decision making.
With many free educational materials and resources such as Mind-Hacking Alert: A Young Adult's Guide to Recognizing Undue Influence and Resisting Abusive Relationships, Undue Influence video presentations, questionnaires to help you or your family member gage the level of alienation they may be experiencing, and sample letters/emails to help alert your state legislators about the need for further legislation on coercive control.
